Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Contract Manager - (Inside IR35) for a 3-month contract working on a hybris basis and with an expectation that you will work from either London, Leeds or Manchester office sites 2 days
 per week.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. 

Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Resettlement team is an integral part of the Rehabilitation in Custody division and deliver contracts to support the rehabilitation of prisoners in custody and beyond to integrate back with their families on release.

You will support category development and contract management activities of the Re-settlement category.

Contracts include Family Services Resettlement contracts which are uniquely placed to provide further support to prisoners in family matters and integrating back into society.


As a Contract Manager - (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities will be:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with diverse stakeholders in cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Category Strategies: Develop and support category strategies using data-driven methods to drive Value for Money outcomes.
  • Supplier Market Management: Manage strategic supplier market development to maintain a healthy and agile supply market.
  • Contractual Documentation: Develop contractual documentation, work with
     legal advisers, and build business cases with Senior Business Owners.
  • Planning and Organization: Exhibit superior planning, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and team deliverables.
  • Governance and Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to governance, legislative, and policy requirements, and adopt a robust approach to risk management.


Essential:

  • Contract and Category ManagementExperience in managing contracts and categories, including commercial finance and strategy development.
  • Qualifications: CIPS/MCIPS qualified or working towards the qualification.
  • Public Sector ExpertiseExperience and understanding of contracts within the public sector.


Desirable:

  • Experience of using JAGGAER
