On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Commercial Manager for a 3 month hybrid contract London based, 3 days per week and the remainder is working from home.

As a Commercial Manager , your main responsibilities will be:
- Cost Management & Reporting: Lead cost forecasting, reporting, and analysis for signaling projects using Network Rail’s reporting framework and Oracle systems. Ensure accurate tracking of Anticipated Final Cost, Cost of Work Done, and Contract Value
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers to review and challenge contractor applications, validate progress against site delivery, and ensure payment certifications align with contractual entitlements.
- Commercial Oversight: Monitor commercial performance across signaling projects, flag risks early, and propose mitigation strategies. Attend progress meetings to influence contractor behavior and ensure compliance with delivery expectations
- Change & Risk Control: Advise on scope changes and commercial risks, prepare documentation for approvals, and support change control processes in line with delegated authority.
- Contractor Engagement: Lead valuation of medium-risk contracts, support negotiation of prices under existing frameworks, and participate in risk and value management workshops.
Essential:
- NWR Project Knowledge: Proven understanding of Network Rail (NWR) standards and procedures
- Procurement in Signaling Projects: Familiarity with sourcing and procurement processes specific to signalling infrastructure.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel, including the use of pivot tables for data analysis and reportin
- Contract Management: Experience raising and managing contract orders within project environments.
- Cost Reporting: Ability to compile, interpret, and present cost reports to stakeholders.
- Flexibility and Initiative: Willingness to take on ad hoc duties and support evolving project needs.
Desirable:
- Oracle Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with Oracle project modules and systems
