On behalf of Defra, we are looking for a Commercial Engagement Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract based Remotely with occasional travel.

As a Commercial Engagement Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Build trust across diverse stakeholders with competing interests (vendors, operators, regulators).
• Navigate commercial sensitivities whilst maintaining government impartiality.
• Challenge constructively and escalate issues appropriately. Technical and commercial translation: be able to articulate between technical API requirements and vendor business models.
• Explain regulatory needs in terms vendors understand. Articulate operator constraints to technical teams.
• Make complex trade-offs accessible to decision makers. Problem-solving with incomplete information: Identify root causes of adoption barriers
• You'll work across policy, delivery, regulation and industry - requiring flexibility, stakeholder empathy, and ability to see the system-level picture.

• Essential:
• Previous experience on Delivering government projects within a similar position

Desirable:

• Software related background is highly desirable.
