Description & Requirements


On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Business Analyst Inside IR35 for a contract ending 31st of March with possibility to be extended based REMOTELY with occasional travel UK wide 


The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

As a Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Understand and analyse user and business needs, ensuring outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy. Challenge constructively to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose
  • Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery
  • Employ a range of tools and techniques to gather business and user requirements against the clear objectives articulated for the project
  • Determine the need and value of performing the activity based on the context
  • Evaluate requirements against the present state and the target state and identify opportunities to develop successful business requirements


Essential:

  • Proven experience in business analysis within the public sector
  • Experienced in benefits management and producing strategic business case documentation
  • Strong ability to engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
