On behalf of HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), we are looking for a Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (two days per week office based - various locations available).
HM Courts & Tribunals Service is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family Courts and Tribunals in England & Wales. Their roles support service users and colleagues within HMCTS, where people and businesses access potentially life-changing justice. We’re looking for individuals who are committed to public service and making a difference in people’s lives to deliver justice.
As a Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
- Leading the Market Engagement activity – including analysis of RFI, supporting RFQ and ITT etc
- Leading the requirements engineering, stakeholder modelling and investigations required to support the introduction of the new business solution into HMCTS services
- Lead the time and motion study and analysis to be undertaken across the jurisdictions
- Supporting the management of design issues raised by HMCTS partners and business stakeholders, providing options, and recommending solutions.
- Leading discussions with other projects to identify where there are dependencies with the solutions and documenting these dependencies within the business process design.
- Development and documentation of the end-to-end business process, providing the as-is and to-be end state down to L3
- Supporting in the analysis of the solutions provided by suppliers during Early Market Engagement, ensuring the business solution meets the need of the organisation
- Drafting the requirements sections within the Strategic Outline Business Case
- Gathering and documenting the baseline data for the as-is processes, to support future benefit realisation
- Documenting any new and updating current business process maps for the as-is and to-be solution
Essential:
- Experience in the application of business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.
- Previous experience of working across senior technical and business stakeholders ensuring the understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned.
- Expertise in leading workshops, meetings and discussions to gather requirements and provide feedback to a wide range of audiences.
- Experience in defining problem statements and ensuring requirements are suitable for market engagement
- Experience of using analytical skills to find solutions by interpreting complex data.
- Ability to think strategically and understand the broader business context.
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation, reports and presentations.
- Proven track record of managing product lifecycles ensuring full alignment with wider
- Problem solving with the ability to break down complex problems.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of working in a large digital organisation and how they operate.
- Working within a team to achieve common goals.
