AMS PSR

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a SolarWinds Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 9 Month contract based Hybrid in London.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

As a SolarWinds Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

• To ensure the correct implementation of standards and procedures, identify capacity issues, stipulate the required changes, and instigate these. You know how to initiate remedial action.
• To know about information security and be able to design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services.
• To analyse current processes, identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes, and lead and develop a team of experts to deliver service improvements. You will help to evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes by setting policy and standards
• To use a modern standards approach and guide others to use it as well.
• To collaborate with others to review specifications and use these agreed specifications to design, code, test and
• document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the proper standards and tools.
• To design systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity. You know how to select appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensure they are applied effectively. To review the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of right technology, efficient use of resources and the integration of multiple systems and technology.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo

checks.  Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
