Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Principal Technical Enterprise Architect (Inside IR35) for a 24 Month Hybrid contract based up to 2 days per week in London.


Note: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position, (and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance


The Synergy Programme represents a step change in how corporate functions across MoJ, HO, Defra and DWP will be delivered. Synergy will be the replacement system for SOP. The programme’s purpose is to enable better public services through better ways of working, supporting more than a quarter of a million officials and public servants who deliver some of the most vital and high-risk public services. Synergy’s mission is to make working lives easier and help deliver crucial public services by providing systems that are smarter, faster, more intuitive, and are designed around the needs of the user.


This role will be responsible for leading the delivery of the Technical workstream for MoJ relating to Shared Services Hub, ERP, Ask Synergy, Integration and more ensuring we feed into and leading on design.


Responsibilities:

  • Face off to the Justice Digital organisation including the CDIO the Director of Technology and their supporting BaU teams.
  • Face off to the Core Synergy Digital teams and represent the MoJ at forums such as Digital and Data Working Group
  • Act as a point of contact for the MoJ onboarding to a new Oracle Cloud ERP solution
  • Ensure optimisation of MoJ requirements within the new Oracle Cloud ERP solution
  • Review, feedback and assure Synergy documentation ensuring MoJ governance followed where appropriate
  • Support the transformation from current on-premise Oracle ERP to Cloud ERP. Provide assurance that the transformation fits with the wider technology and roadmap for MOJ digital.
  • Ensure an understanding of the current and new systems and integrations, to provide a roadmap for MoJ to ensure services are optimised across the estate.
  • Where applicable, determine what changes and enhancements could be introduced to allow the new system delivers the best outcomes for the MoJ end users and systems integration activities.
  • Be the point of contact at the Oracle Technology forums with the Synergy suppliers including the core team and Oracle to present and support the MoJ requirements for continuous improvement.
  • Lead on product centric components – such as data feeds and migrations into ERP including design and configuration
  • Provide updates and reporting on progress, dependencies, planning, RAID etc.

  • Transition requirements
  • Data strategies and alignment
  • Integration requirements and management
  • Service Management
  • Strategic ownership of products and roadmaps
  • Functional alignment, from live services through to vendors
  • Feed into business change and communications across the cluster
  • Testing and QA
  • Security and user access


Desirable:

  • Experience of delivery within large scale government progs
