On behalf of Government Legal Department, we are looking for a HEO Legal Systems Compliance Practice Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract which is a hybrid role so does require up to 3 days a week in our offices, London, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester, please note the first 2 weeks is 5 days a week for the Induction
The Legal Systems Compliance Team (LSCT) sits within the Practice Management Unit in the Government Legal Department (GLD).
A key area of work is to ensure GLD meets Lexcel and Quality, Policy and Procedure (QPP) standards and obligations, and continues to obtain Lexcel Accreditation on a yearly basis.
We are looking for a Legal Systems Compliance Practice Manager, who can work alongside another Practice Manager in a fast-paced environment; to support and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure Lexcel and QPP compliance is maintained at a high standard, and champion the use of legal system across GLD.
As a HEO Legal Systems Compliance Practice Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Communicating clear direction on best practice on compliance and using legal systems
- Developing and revising guidance and providing training on legal systems and compliance
- Demonstrating a confident approach in engaging and communicating with teams and individuals along with good written skills
- Interpreting and communicating the results of high-level reports
- Providing support to Team Leaders, Business Management colleagues, Lexcel and CMS Champions
- Supporting the development and change process of CMS
- Supporting GLD in preparing for Legal Practice Management system including review /cleanse of CMS data
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, to set deadlines and prioritise workloads
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in the support of busy teams and departments across either public or private sectors.
- Project Management Skills
- Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business
- Excellent communication skills and experience of delivering training
- Microsoft Office suite
Desirable Skills
- Experience within a legal sector would be highly beneficial
