On behalf of The Insolvency Service, we are looking for an Enterprise Architect (Inside IR35) for a 10 month hybrid contract 3 days per week in any of the UK offices.
As an Enterprise Architect you will be part of the Architecture Team within Change and Technology Services and will report directly to the Lead Project Manager who in turn reports into the Assistant Director – Transformation in Change and Technology Services.
As an Enterprise Architect on the Redundancy Payments Service Calculations and Service Developments Project (RPS CSD). The Discovery phase is in-flight with multiple Alpha phases expected to follow. Discovery will engage in detail with end users and internal stakeholders to identify core problems that need to be addressed through the creation of a list of required improvements and technical changes to the various components of the RPS service. Focus will be initially on Discovery assurance, option shaping, architectural decisions, and supplier readiness.
Support is then required through the Alpha and Beta phases, where you will be shared across the RPS CSD and INSSight+ projects to ensure architectural consistency across case management systems, reduce duplication of design effort, and strengthen enterprise governance and reuse of patterns. INSSight+ will be looking at the delivery of a new case management solution for our Investigations and Enforcement Services directorate.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Providing Enterprise Architecture leadership from early Discovery through Delivery.
• Defining and assuring TO-BE architectures for Dynamics-based case management systems.
• Ensuring alignment with Insolvency Service enterprise standards, security policies, and integration principles.
• Acting as architectural authority across suppliers and delivery teams.
• Identifying opportunities for reuse, convergence, and simplification across both programmes.
• Participation in architecture/design governance forums.
• Assurance of supplier designs against enterprise standards.
• The role holder will work closely with Project Managers, Technical Architects, Business Analysts, SMEs, and external suppliers.
Essential Skills And Experience
• Enterprise Architecture experience in delivering key project products.
• Management of suppliers delivering new applications, case management systems, major software upgrades and data migration to key business applications.
• Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills and commercial/procurement experience
• Expertise in system performance, architecture design, and implementation strategies.
