Description & Requirements
On behalf of the CPS, we are looking for a Digital Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract remote based with occasional travel to Birmingham, London, Wakefield or York.
We’re seeking skilled Digital Business Analysts to join our Digital and Delivery team. This role is central to driving digital transformation and improving business performance through technology. You’ll work in an Agile environment, collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and designers to deliver user-focused solutions that make a real impact.
You may be aligned to one of several active digital transformation projects, including process audits, automation design, test data support for digital case tools, or Power BI migration. All require core BA skills, with some variation in emphasis (e.g. process mapping, testing, data analysis, or automation).
As a Digital Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and implement stakeholder communication strategies.
- Influence and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Define and trace requirements through design, build, test, and delivery.
- Prioritise and negotiate solutions to meet programme objectives.
- Conduct business and user experience analysis to inform decision-making.
- Recommend and apply techniques to evaluate user needs and system design.
- Lead the design and assessment of business process improvements.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a digital or Agile environment, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Business Efficiency Identification – Proven ability to analyse and improve business processes.
- Testing Experience – Ability to define and manage test scenarios and acceptance criteria to ensure business requirements are met (not a tester role).
- Automation Experience – Familiarity with automation tools or processes.
- Power BI Skills – Experience in data analysis and reporting using Power BI.
- Experience with requirements lifecycle management.
- Ability to analyse complex business problems and recommend digital solutions.
- Familiarity with UX principles, user research, and process improvement methodologies.
Professional Qualifications (Required or Equivalent):
Candidates should hold recognised Business Analysis certifications such as:
- BCS or APMG: Business Analysis Practitioner, Requirements Engineering, or System Modelling
- IIBA: ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP
- PMI: PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis)
- Agile-related certifications: e.g. iSQI Certified Agile Business Analyst, Scrum Product Owner
Desirable Experience (Project-Specific)
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Conducting end-to-end audits of business processes (e.g. Joiners, Movers, Leavers).
- Creating test data libraries and writing test scenarios in Agile delivery.
- Supporting data migration and reporting transformation using Power BI.
- Identifying automation opportunities and designing efficient workflows.
