On behalf of Homes England, we are looking for a Business Manager Inside IR35 for an 8 months contract based Hybrid 2-3 days a week in either Liverpool or Newcastle
Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, plays a central role in tackling the housing challenges the country now faces. Following the publication of the government’s Levelling Up White Paper, Homes England has also been tasked with a core role in spearheading regeneration, partnering with places to reduce economic disparity, empower local leaders and create equal opportunities across the country to ensure communities reach their full potential.
As a Business Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Work with the Senior Business Manager, the COO Office team and the Directorate Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to deliver operational priorities.
- Working as part of the COO Office to support and collaborate with the directorate SLT and wider senior leaders across the Agency to coordinate directorate specific and cross cutting, corporate and project activities
- Work with directorate leadership on operational activites including (but not limited to), budget management, contract management, procurement, governance, process mapping and activity tracking, risk management, recruitment, communications, away day planning and business plan monitoring.
- Work collaboratively across the Agency to support the delivery of Directorate sponsored change projects that support the successful delivery of the Directorate’s Business Plan and support increased productivity and pace of delivery.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by contributing into a lessons learnt associated with the implementation of delivery initiatives to help inform the future design and delivery of other initiatives, as well as promote the work of the team to deliver impactful change.
Essential:
- Experience in business management (financial, governance, procurement, contract management, programme/performance management) and the use of evidence to drive continuous performance improvement.
- A degree, or equivalent academic qualification, and an ability to bring strong intellectual rigour to the role.
- Experience of devising and implementing business improvement plans and activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships and influence at all levels.
- Experience in Excel and Power BI
