Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Department for Transport, we are looking for a Finance Administrator (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based  in Leeds 3 days per week.

As a Finance Administrator, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Extract and analyse financial data to produce accurate reports and support issue resolution.
  • Investigate outstanding invoices by liaising with internal stakeholders for timely payment.
  • Respond to queries from system users and Shared Services, ensuring compliance with process standards.
  • Operate within strict deadlines to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
  • Provide flexible support across the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) team to maintain service continuity.
  • Promote self-service by directing customers to process documentation and guidance materials.


Essential:


  • Strong understanding of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including invoice management and payment cycles.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and produce actionable reports.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement for resolving invoice and payment issues.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Shared Services environments.
  • Commitment to meeting SLAs and working under tight deadlines.



Desirable:


  • Experience using SAP
  • Finance team experience or working towards a finance qualification
