On behalf of UK Space Agency, we are looking for a Stakeholder Capability Lead (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract based. This is a hybrid working role (two days per week office based - various locations available).
Job Purpose:
To support the UK Space Agency deliver its priorities to champion space, deliver missions and capabilities and catalyse investment into the UK space sector, the role of the Stakeholder Capability Lead is to lead the Agency’s work to ensure we are managing our stakeholders consistently and have the tools, culture, systems and processes in place to do so.
This post holder will provide joint task management for the Championing Space Directorate Support Officer who supports the wider team.
You will work closely with DSIT, DBT, MoD and Space Command teams doing similar functions to ensure we are managing our stakeholders more consistently, and providing support for the SCS Quad engagement. You will also work closely with the Championing Space Director on our account management approach in the Agency.
This work will require working with colleagues across the Agency to set and deliver our stakeholder engagement strategy. You will work with operational leads to ensure we are setting robust stakeholder management plans and deliver those operationally.
As a Stakeholder Capability Lead , your main responsibilities will be to:
- Design and implement an operating model for external Stakeholder Management across the Agency.
- Working with our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team to develop an appropriate solution to enhance and deliver our stakeholder engagement consistently,
- Providing the requirements and expert insight to ensure the DDaT solution is fit for purpose and provides best practice capability.
- Acting as a champion to promote the culture shifts required to better improve the chance of a successful implementation. This includes how we communicate, share interactions and work with other Departments.
- Establish and run appropriate consultation groups to secure the consultation required for the Op Model design and implementation.
- Oversee engagement with DSIT, MoD, Space Command and DBT teams to ensure we are taking a coherent approach to managing relationships.
- Support our SLT in Quad meeting with key stakeholders alongside DSIT, MoD and DBT.
- Lead on the development of Stakeholder Management Plans for its key stakeholders, through facilitation of staff involved from across the Agency, and thereby establishing new ways of working by example.
- Develop an online Centre of Excellence resource providing the necessary tools, guidance and training to enable a consistent high standard of capability across the Agency.
You'll have:
- A working understanding of a broad range of stakeholder groups (Government, Industry and Academia).
- Project management and delivery, planning and reporting.
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to think strategically about working with stakeholders.
- Self-starter and good ability to advise more senior colleagues.
- Confidence, credibility and gravitas to represent the Agency with senior peers and representatives from across Government.
Desirable:
- Leadership of change management across multi-discipline teams.
- External stakeholder management operating model design and implementation, whether customer, supplier, combined or broader.
- CRM or equivalent relationship management system use and implementation
