AMS PSR

On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Project Manager Inside IR35 for a 12 months contract based Hybrid 2-3 days a week in Exeter 

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks.  Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team
• Coordinate development of the project Business Case.
• Schedule and manage resources to deliver the project.
• Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
• Build Project Plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives. Identify and set appropriate Project Controls

Essential:

• Prince2 Practitioner and/or APM (Association for Project Management) PMQ Certificate or equivalent project related experience
• Experience of delivering a project of low complexity defined by the PDCF as having a high degree of certainty, are smaller in size, have clear stakeholders and can be managed using standard procedures and methodologies.
• A proven ability to manage issues and recommend solutions through formal and informal channels, securing effective outcomes.

Desirable:

• Experience in public sector
