Description & Requirements


On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Training Assistant for a contract which is 12 months possible extension based remotely but does Include up to 2 days a week in the Network Rail training academy in Enfield and also Includes occasional visits to Milton Keynes location

To provide support to the Professional Development & Customer Consultant in providing a training delivery service to the relevant customer group e.g. Infrastructure Projects, Route Services and Corporate Functions


As a Training Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Assist the Professional Development & Customer Consultant with securing accurate training demand aligned to customer targets and objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders and monitor whether Network Rail Training is fully responsive for the delivery of training.
  • Assist with the development of the training delivery plan to meet customer requirements whilst maximising the effective utilisation of the resources available
  • Assist with the effective monitoring and reporting of demand and efficient planning and forecasting for the customer group.
  • Assist with the reporting and communication strategies that deliver business intelligence to the customer to maximise staff competence. 
  • Actively contribute into the Network Training business planning process to secure relevant budget for required customer defined activities.


Essential Skills


  • Experience in the support of busy teams ideally within learning, development or education
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Experience across the full microsoft office suite
  • Administration skillset as part of a busy team
  • Strong self starter
