AMS PSR

On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based Hybrid in either London, Milton Keynes or East Kilbride.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

As a Senior Azure Cloud Architect, your main responsibilities will be:

• Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions, predominantly on Azure, ensuring alignment with organisational security and operational policy.
• Develop and enforce privileged access management, including RBAC, PIM, and conditional access policies.
• Lead the automation of infrastructure deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Specify and implement secure configuration baselines, including Azure Policy, network security, and platform guardrails.
• Integrate and optimise monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel) to support operational visibility and incident response.
• Collaborate with product owners, security, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud networking, identity, and platform services.

• Essential:
• Must have previous Azure architectural experience
• Security and identity management experience
