On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for an HR Manager - (Inside IR35) for a 4 - month contract working on a hybrid basis and with an expectation of between 1 to 2 days per week in the Exeter office
As a HR Manager - (Inside IR35), your main responsibilities will be:
- Oversee all aspects of People Operations, covering the entire employee lifecycle.
- Maintain effective relationships with the TU, ensuring fair, transparent, and brand-aligned people practices.
- Develop, align, and implement people management policies and processes, ensuring legal compliance.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team to deliver efficient operational and advisory services.
- Ensure compliance and reporting requirements as part of the senior leadership team.
- Continuously develop and embed best practices, reviewing and improving ways of working, including ER provision.
Essential:
- Experience in employee relations and trade union engagement.
- Expertise in developing and implementing policies and processes.
- Proven ability and experience of leading and managing a team effectively.
Desirable:
- CIPD qualified
- Experience of HR systems
