Description & Requirements
On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Benefits Manager Inside IR35 for a 12 months contract based Hybrid 2 days a week in Exeter and the rest from home.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Benefits Manager , your main responsibilities will be to:
- Lead benefits management activities and collaborate with the project team to deliver the benefits and outcomes outlined in the business case. Champions best practices and provides expert advice to team members and the project community.
- Assists the Project Manager in preparing and updating the benefits section of the business case, working with specialists as needed.
- Define and shape the benefits management strategy, considering the organisation's broader methodology
- Establish and maintain the project benefits realisation plan, including managing change control.
- Set up the system for tracking and reporting benefits throughout the project lifecycle and into realisation.
- Facilitate workshops to map benefits and circulates them for agreement and approval. Uses experience to challenge assumptions and ensure their robustness. Works with various stakeholders to validate and test dependencies.
Essential:
- Extensive experience as benefits manager
- Experience in socio-economic impact benefits modelling and benefits realisation (MA framework).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- APMG/ APM/ PRINCE2/ MSP
Desirable:
- Explicit working knowledge of the Partnerships Fund (ISPF) - highly desirable
- Science and technology research (AI) background - highly desirable
