AMS PSR

On behalf of Defra, we are looking for a Workforce Team Leader Inside IR35 for a 3 months contract based Hybrid 2 days a week in either Exeter( preferred), Bristol or Bodmin and the rest remote.

As a Workforce Team Leader , your main responsibilities will be to:

• Lead and support and manager a hybrid team of 14 direct reports, conducting regular one-to-one meetings and promoting wellbeing and development opportunities.
• Chair team meetings and ensure effective communication across remote and in-person settings.
• Oversee accurate record-keeping including time tracking, expenses, and other-related documentation.
• Manage team resourcing for projects, ensuring the right skills are allocated effectively.
• Build strong relationships quickly and lead technical professionals, including environmental and sustainability experts.

Essential:

• Proven experience in leading and line managing teams, including remote and hybrid working environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and deliver outcomes.
• Excellent organisational skills, including record-keeping, scheduling, and resource coordination.

Desirable:

• Environmental awareness or qualification
