On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Risk and Value Analyst for a 6 Month contract based in Derby, London York or Stratford (3 days per week in office).

As a Risk and Value Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide Risk & Value Management (R&VM) specialist support in line with relevant standards, the Capital Delivery R&VM Plan, and best practice.
- Produce quantitative cost, schedule and possession risk analyses (QRA/QSRA) to assess project affordability, deliverability and right-time handback.
- Deliver value management studies focused on maximising value across projects.
- Lead risk identification and review workshops, supporting effective risk management with project teams.
- Maintain risk reporting, technical briefings, mentoring, and promote R&VM culture, maturity and embedding of the ER&VM framework.
- Deliver Level 1 assurance activities and collate, analyse and report R&VM performance and assurance metrics to support governance and compliance.
Essential:
- Expertise in project, business, cost, schedule and commercial risk management, including building robust risk models across multiple tools and contract types.
- Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to coach, challenge and influence managers and non‑specialists on risk outcomes and decisions.
- Proven capability as a Risk & Value Practitioner, or clear ability to achieve practitioner level within a defined timeframe.
- Effective relationship‑builder, demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement, customer focus and collaborative team working.
- Proactive and forward‑thinking, with the ability to make timely decisions, improve ways of working and embrace change.
- Strong commitment to safety, understanding behavioural impacts, safety rules and personal responsibility for own and others’ wellbeing.
