AMS PSR

On behalf of Pension Protection Fund, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a contract until the end of November 2025 possible extension which is a hybrid role and requires 2 days a week in the Croydon office

The Pension Protection Fund’s main function is to provide compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes, when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer, and where there are insufficient assets in the pension scheme to cover the Pension Protection Fund level of compensation.

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with knowledge of pension administration systems to join our Change Management Office at the PPF.

As a Senior Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

• Working with a range of stakeholders and external suppliers to establish the scope and key deliverables to meet the desired business outcomes and objectives
• Capture functional and non-functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria and facilitate appropriate approvals with key Business stakeholders
• Mapping of ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes and undertaking data analysis/data modelling. Providing a summary of the current processes / customer journey (including internal and external (i.e. members and suppliers)) and any challenges with it
• Maintaining a Traceability matrix (Capturing all requirements and their traceability in a single document including, whether or not a requirement can be tested; success criteria for measuring the deliverable, including the MVP, meets the standard set out in the Requirements Traceability Matrix Template)
• Support data analysis activities to develop roll-out and adoption strategies, ensuring that deliveribles achieve stated benefits
• Drive and facilitate requirements workshop, product demonstrations, UAT co-ordination and communications
• Support the production of user guides, training material and communications to support roll-out
• Specification Documentation - Detailed requirements our 3rd party will be able to build a solution from
• Reporting in line with frequency agreed with Project Managers, capturing progress against the deliverables and highlighting additional requirements, project risks and issues as required

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience as a senior business analyst on large scale projects ideally within central government
• Experience in work process mapping on multi-disciplinary projects
• Technology & Change experience as a business analyst
• Stakeholder Management at all levels across the business
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong self starter with a proactive approach to all duties

Desirable Skills

• Pension Software (On-prem - UPM) / Financial Services will be highly beneficial
• Procurement – IT Tech Systems will be highly beneficial
