On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Senior React Developer (Inside IR35) for a 5 Month contract based REMOTELY/ in Croydon.



"SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks". Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

The Central Operations Platform (COP) was built for Border Force to ensure data capture and processing are delivered in a structured and standardised manner, enabling the business to deliver on its common goals. It is fundamental for this platform to continue to service the objectives of this country and host forms to help with efficient data capture at Borders.

COP is a product cluster with about 7 supplier led development teams, a Live Services support team and a Platform Engineering team. COP teams have a mix of engineers from suppliers, MBTP Civil Servants and SAS engineers (currently contractors).


As a Senior React Developer, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Help existing team to develop application
  • Support and development of the COP platform as part of a product centric team.
  • During product development and test phases participate and contribute with specific product event, incident discovery, resolution actions and specific product development / enhancement activities.
  • Manage teams that are delivering services for the COP platform
  • KT of any support and maintenance activities on to COP team.
  • During product live production phase, participate as part of COP team on L3 Service support events, incident discoveries, resolution actions and perform discovery, planning and implementation on specific COP led product development / enhancement activities.


Essential:

  • Excellent react skills.
  • Experience in standardizing React Libraries.
  • Experience in NextJs
  • Active SC clearance.


Desirable:

  • Experience in JAVA and Typescript.
