Description & Requirements


On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Solution Architect (Inside IR35) for a 12 Month contract-based Hybrid/ in Corsham.

As a Solution Architect, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Contributing to the technical sections of the ‘as built’ Solution Specification for the Operational V&V systems.
  • Producing the technical/Solution elements of the Voice & Video Product Roadmap(s) for the V&V Product Owner.
  • Act as the key technical lead when interfacing with Defence Digital technical governance, Technical Design Authority (TDA) and associated Secure by Design Governance (SbD) processes.


Essential:


  • Experience and understanding of one or more of the following network technologies: LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network), wifi, data centre LAN, SD (software-defined) networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, network specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.
  • Experience as a Technical Architect/Solution lead in a Voice & Videos based service setting.
  • Experience producing ITIL3 aligned technical/Solution documentation/templates, including the SDP.
  • Experience of working within a team that has managed Voice & Video Services
  • Experience of developing Technical Refresh documentation
  • Experience of developing complex technical Service Roadmaps with associated Solution Specifications
  • DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role.


Desirable:


  • Experience of working within teams that have managed Strategic Networks and Bearer Services.
  • Experience & Understanding of the difference between ‘Legacy’ and ‘New’ systems and the challenges this presents during transition, particularly for highly secure systems.
