AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Controls Officer (Inside IR35) for a contract which runs to the end of March 2026 and is a hybrid role so requires at least 1 day a week onsite in Corsham

The role of the Project Controls Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project’s objectives. The Project Controls Officer enables the smooth running of the project by supporting the project manager through the operation of project management processes, and the co?ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

As a Project Controls Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

• Planning and scheduling assist with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling
• Monitoring and reporting, assist in maintaining project controls and in producing project reports
• Administration and secretariat duties, organise key meetings responsible for project file management using robust version control
• Stakeholder engagement– Assist with maintaining the stakeholder log for internal and external stakeholders act as the focal point of contact
• Maintains an accurate project RAID log – Assist with and maintain risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies logs, escalating as appropriate

Essential Skills

• Experience of project controls and reporting within a busy public sector department
• Excellent IT skillset which Includes microsoft office suite, SharePoint
• Stakeholder engagement across the department which Includes external stakeholders
• Experience across project support, Risk, Issues and governance as part of a busy support role
• Strong self starter with a proactive approach to all duties
