Description & Requirements


On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Integration Project Manager (Inside IR35) for an 18 month contract which is a hybrid role that Includes 3 days a week in Corsham, 1 day a month in Northwood which is northwest London and also occasional travel to other sites in the south of England which will be expensed

This position acts as a link between Defence Digital SATCOM and military end users in support of the Joint User C4i team, which is providing critical integration support for the introduction to service of the SKYNET 6 (SK6) programme. SK6 is delivering significant upgrades over the next 5 years to UK Military SATCOM and this role will support delivery of the integrated SATCOM capability into the Military Command users, ensuring schedule and delivery coherence across the Defence Lines of Development.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.


As a Integration Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Development and maintenance of a Capability Integration Plan & associated roadmaps for introduction into service of Key SK6 products, focusing on the Military Commands user needs associated with the introduction to service, including the forward planning of User Acceptance activities linked to DLoDs.

  • Risks & Issues – Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.

  • Stakeholder Management – Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships.

  • Governance – Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making.

  • Guidance & Support – Seek appropriate support, guidance and coaching from the project community. Show commitment to personal development. Promote effective individual and team performance.


Essential Skills


  • Prior experience working with or within the MOD, Military Commands or Defence Digital 
  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement at multiple levels with the ability to communicate with military terminology
  • Experience in risk and dependencies at a project management level
  • Experience in the delivery of planning and scheduling at project management level
  • Experience of business change at project or programme management level


Desirable Skills


  • Military SATCOM user experience would be highly beneficia

  • Satellite Communications(SATCOM) technical knowledge would be highly beneficial

  • Requirements verification & validation (ITEA) would be beneficial

  • Capability introduction experience would be beneficial
