AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Planner - Inside IR35 for a 23 Month contract based Hybrid - Remote & 2-3 days p/week in Corsham.

The SATCOM Delivery Team is tasked with ensuring continuity of the required capability and its future development in order to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for defence communications and to defeat the growing array of sophisticated threats.

As a Project Planner your main responsibilities will be:

• Planning and scheduling: Implement and maintain systems for effective planning and scheduling.
• Monitoring and reporting: Establish and maintain project controls, and keep the project manager informed of status.
• Compliance management: Ensure project adherence to security, health & safety, equality & diversity, business continuity, and business planning standards.
• File and asset management: Oversee project file management with version control and ensure asset management assurance.
• Stakeholder management: Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the lead contact for some external parties.
• Risk and issue management: Identify and manage potential risks, working with risk managers and escalating issues as needed.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

You'll have:

• Demonstrable Project Planning, Scheduling & Controls experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management & collaboration skills.
• Risk & Issue management experience.
• Quality Management, governance & assurance knowledge.
• A relevant Project Management qualification - Prince 2 / APM or similar - desirable.
• Defence experience - desirable.
