On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for an IT Service Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month (until the end of September 2025) contract based in Corsham/Hybrid (1-2 days per week on site).

Description
Focus upon Problem, Event and Change Management Review and IT Service Analysis Reporting. With the objective of leading to enhancing Continual Service Improvement.
IT Service Manager who will have a Pan Foundry role supporting the evolution of a Foundry wide ITSM Strategy. While not specifically managing a service or application the role will have a focus upon IT service reporting across multiple Foundry Services. Through the review and analysis of problems, change management issues, and events will provide an overview of Service Management Performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support processes designed to ensure services and support functions remain responsive to customer needs
- Support processes designed to ensure the service catalogue and wider IT service operations knowledge library are maintained
- Ensure that adequate reporting and service standards are met for your specific service
- Support processes designed to ensure all technical change is communicated and managed, with appropriate governance
- Ensure that a programme of continual service improvement is put in place across the wider service delivery function
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Asset and Configuration Management: Maintain secure configurations and accurate information, controlling IT assets in significant areas. Verify the location and state of assets.
- Business Analysis (IT Operations): Investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes, and contribute to recommending solutions. Work with stakeholders to identify objectives and potential benefits.
- Continual Service Improvement: Identify process optimization opportunities with guidance, and contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions. Maintain secure configuration and accurate information, controlling IT assets in significant areas. Verify the location and state of assets.
- Service Focus: See the bigger picture by taking groups of services and investigating how to get the best out of underlying services.
- Service Management Framework Knowledge: Hold a Level 3 service management framework qualification. Demonstrate knowledge of the life cycle or capability elements of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
- User Focus: Identify and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence. Understand and define research that fits user needs. Use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user focus into outcomes.
