Description & Requirements


On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Business Change Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based remotely which does Include occasional visits to either the Croydon or Manchester locations.

The candidate will provide additional skills, expertise, and bandwidth to execute high quality business change and communications and engagement initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.


As a Business Change Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Assist the Business Change Lead in developing and updating business change activities aligned to the Automation Centre Business change strategy and tactical operating model, based on the stakeholders' needs and preferences.
  • Create and disseminate various business change communication and engagement materials, such as newsletters, presentations, videos, surveys, etc, using various channels and platforms to help stakeholders understand, accept, adopt and embed changes created by Automation Centre delivery long term.
  • Create and update stakeholder internal SharePoint site and the business change team SharePoint page.
  • Help the Business Change Lead in organizing and facilitating various business change events, such as workshops, demos, stakeholder focus groups.
  • Collaborate with the Business Change Lead in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as senior leaders, business owners, process owners, change agent networks/groups.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and measuring of people benefits by reporting and communicating the progress and outcomes of people benefits realization activities to the wider Automation Centre team and SLT.


Essential Skills


  • Experience across business change in the delivery of projects with central government
  • Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the government department including workshops
  • Strong skillset across a portfolio or work including systems and process
  • Strong self starter, ability to get up to speed quickly within the team and department
  • APMG business change qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
