On behalf of Defra, we are currently creating a pipeline for an upcoming opportuity for a Lead Buyer Pensions (Inside IR35) for a 18 month hybrid contract based in Bristol.

As a Lead Buyer Pensions, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the Pension Administration Provider procurement from strategy through to award.
- Drive commercial delivery across the wider EAPF procurement pipeline.
- Develop procurement strategies, sourcing plans and evaluation approaches.
- Assess supplier solutions against quality, resilience, member experience and value.
- Provide clear commercial recommendations and maintain robust governance.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, advisers and suppliers.
- Identify, manage and mitigate procurement and supplier risks.
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and controls.
- Support successful contract mobilisation and transition into contract management.
Essential:
- Proven end-to-end procurement experience across complex public sector procurements.
- Strong stakeholder management, partnering with Commercial teams and EAPF stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with a structured and compliant approach to procurement delivery.
- MCIPS Level 4 or equivalent experience
Desirable:
- Experience within pensions or other regulated environments highly desirable.
