AMS PSR

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Commercial Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract hybrid based from Bristol or Newport.

As a Commercial Lead, your main responsibilities will be:

• Define and drive the transport strategy and pipeline: clarify the roadmap, identify dependencies, and sequence initiatives for impact
• Map upcoming contract expirations and align renewal/retender timelines to business needs, ensuring readiness and risk mitigation.
• Lead customer discussions to understand transport requirements, priorities, and constraints; translate insights into actionable plans.
• Build on established stakeholder relationships and the groundwork already in place to deepen trust and accelerate decisions.
• Define what “good” looks like for the agreement, document operating procedures, and secure stakeholder sign-off.
• Provide clear status reporting, highlighting progress vs. plan, decisions needed, and next steps.

Essential:

• Strong commercial background, including cool-off processes and customer engagement.
• In-depth transport sector knowledge, with experience in major transport organizations
• Ability to communicate empathetically and build trust within transport-related contexts.
• Commercial awareness in transport procurement and technology solutions.
• Familiarity with PA23 and associated frameworks
• Proven experience in framework development and improvement, including preparing open frameworks and planning for re-opening cycles
• Expertise in procurement planning for future cycles (e.g., 2-year horizon) and building robust supply chains.
