On behalf of NRS, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical for a 12 month hybrid contract based in Malton.


As a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned project.
  • Manage engineering support to the project.
  • Contribute to production of Project Execution Plans including design, safety case and commissioning strategies.
  • Support project optioneering process.
  • Develop concept design and fit for purpose engineering solution for projects.
  • Produce and/or approve project technical specifications.


Essential:


  • Significant experience in a practising disciplined Mechanical Engineering role on industrial plant.
  • Significant experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering.
  • Possession of an HNC (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, supported by strong technical competencies.
  • In‑depth knowledge of applicable company engineering procedures and relevant national engineering standards.
  • Practical understanding of Safety Rules and proficient application of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Demonstrated capability in effectively managing and overseeing supply chain activities.
