Description & Requirements

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for an IT Service Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract based Hybrid in Bristol (Abbey Wood site).


We’re looking for a proactive and experienced IT Service Analyst to support the delivery and oversight of a critical third-party service across the Ministry of Defence (MoD). This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in ITIL based service management, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a keen eye for operational and financial governance.


You’ll report to the Service Lead and play a key role in ensuring the provider delivers against expectations, driving incident resolution, managing service operations, and contributing to change and configuration processes.


As an IT Service Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage application lifecycle and service provider relationships to ensure effective delivery and accountability.
  • Drive incident resolution and support continuity across live services, while supporting change, configuration, and incident management processes.
  • Maintain data integrity and suggest process improvements using service management tools.
  • Assess and escalate future change initiatives impacting the service portfolio.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships for live services and ensure service compliance and governance across IT assets in line with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Support contract management and financial reporting to meet business obligations.


Essential:

  • Proven experience in IT Service Management, ideally within an ITIL framework.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and work proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of service operations, incident management, and governance.
  • SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.


Desirable:

  • ITIL certification or formal training.
  • Awareness of commercial and financial principles.
  • Experience in configuration and change management processes.
  • Public sector or MoD experience (preferred but not essential).
