On behalf of NRS, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a 24 month contract based full- time on site Monday -Thursday, Hinkley Point A, Bridgwater. 


As a Mechanical Project Engineer , your main responsibilities will be:


  • Manage engineering support to the project.
  • Produce and/or approve project technical specifications.
  • Manage design activities in accordance with design authority standards (client-perspective).
  • Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Maintain site configuration control of appropriate documentation & drawings throughout project lifecycle.
  • Comply with all Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments and support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on Site.


Essential:


  • Experience in working in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering
  • Experience in managing own workload and schedule
  • NQF Level 5 qualification in Mechanical Engineering


Desirable:

  • Significant experience in a practising disciplined Mechanical Engineering role on industrial plant
  • NQF Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering.
