On behalf of Government Commercial Agency, we are looking for a Commercial Officer (Inside IR35) for a contract until March 2027, hybrid working (2 days a week) to either Liverpool, Birmingham, Norwich or Newport.

Role:

To support the delivery and re-procurement of commercial agreements within a public sector environment. Working as part of a wider commercial team, you will support the design and development of commercial models, pricing methodologies, procurement strategies and framework agreements.

As a Commercial Officer, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Support the design and development of commercial models, pricing structures, rate cards, and evaluation methodologies.
• Assist in the re-procurement and renewal of commercial frameworks and agreements.
• Manage commercial agreements throughout their lifecycle, including launch, performance management, renewal, and expiry.
• Deliver procurement and sourcing activities in line with agreed timelines and governance requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop category and commercial strategies.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders across the public sector.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements and shape commercial solutions.
• Analyse commercial, supplier, and spend data to identify cost-saving and value generation opportunities.
• Support governance approval processes and prepare documentation for governance boards.

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience operating within public sector procurement governance and approval processes.
• Strong commercial modelling experience.
• Knowledge and application of Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and/or public procurement legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

• Experience within corporate services procurement categories.
• Knowledge of e-Sourcing platforms and procurement portals.
