On behalf of Homes England, we are looking for an Information Access Officer Inside IR35 for a contract based remotely in England until end of March 2025

As an Information Access Officer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Logging, considering and responding to written Requests for Information (RFI) made pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) and the subject access provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)/Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA);
- Logging considering and co-ordinating responses made pursuant to the official complaints procedure
- Maintaining case management database for recording and monitoring all RFI’s and compliancy
Essential:
- Previous experience of working within an information access, customer service or compliance team
- Strong understanding of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004, the subject access provisions under GDPR/ DPA and the exemptions to those requirements
- Ability to work well in a team and co-operate with others to achieve results
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft applications
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to manage a heavy and varied workload
Desirable:
- Passed or studying for ISEB/BCS Freedom of Information Practitioner Certificate OR CILEX qualification
- Understanding of GDPR and DPA
