On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 7 Month contract based Hybrid - Remote & occasional travel to Belfast.
EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services.
As a Technical Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document clear business requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- User Story Development: Translate complex business processes into clear and actionable user stories for the development team.
- Process Mapping: Use tools like Visio to map current and future business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
- Produce user-friendly documentation, including process flows, requirements specifications, and user stories.
- Test Script Support: Write and assist in the development of test scripts, ensuring alignment with business requirements and support the testing phases of the project.
Essential:
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst role, including user story creation, requirements gathering, and process mapping.
- Experience with tools like Visio to map business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering user stories - Ability to draw out complex processes and translate them into user stories.
- Experience in writing test scripts and supporting the testing phase to ensure systems meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in Agile methodologies or familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), with the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments and support agile project teams.
