On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a Capital Accounting Senior Administrator (Inside IR35/PAYE) for a 4 months contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel.
EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services.
As a Capital Accounting Senior Administrator, your main responsibilities will be:
- Reconcile Fixed Asset Templates: Ensure balances uploaded to the RAM Fixed Asset Register are accurate and robust, maintaining records for audit purposes.
- Develop Financial Policies: Create and maintain financial policies, procedures, and processes to support Capital Budget holders in complying with legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with Services: Work with Accounts Payable, Procurement Service, Accounts Receivable, and other services to deliver high-quality business and financial capital support.
- Monitor Financial Position: Regularly report the financial position of capital budgets and financial information to the Functional Lead.
- Embed Month End Procedures: Implement efficiencies and develop monthly accruals accounting within the capital budget reporting.
- Resolve Queries and Discrepancies: Analyze, investigate, and resolve any queries or discrepancies raised by the Functional Lead, advising on necessary remedial actions.
Essential:
- HNC/HND or above with 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience in financial budgeting.
- Accounting knowledge and excellent excel skills.
- Effective communication.
