Description & Requirements

On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a HR Advisor (Inside IR35) for a  6 month contract based in Armagh, Belfast Omagh Dundonald or Ballymena. (ideally Armagh)


EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services.


This role will be Training and general administration duties for the first 6 months and if extended will be moving into payroll processing


As a HR Advisor your main responsibilities will be:


  • Manage HR documentation and processes from recruitment to cessation, including contract changes, extensions, and tribunal-related administration.
  • Maintain HR information systems, produce reports for decision-making and official responses (e.g. FOIs, Ministerial queries), and ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide first-line HR helpdesk support, triage queries, escalate complex issues, and collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure timely and accurate responses
  • Ensure adherence to data protection, equality policies, and employment legislation; participate in projects and work flexibly as required.
