Some challenge. That’s exactly what the team of over 6,500 people at AWE do every day delivering important work, in support of the most important mission – keeping the nation safe.

  • Manage technical interfaces, engineering risks, changes and hazard resolution to support the safe integration of complex systems and equipment.
  • Support commissioning, testing and acceptance activities, ensuring engineering evidence demonstrates operational readiness and compliance.
  • Maintain robust configuration control and provide clear technical recommendations to design authorities, promoting sound engineering judgement and a strong safety culture.

Essential:

  • Proven experience leading engineering delivery within complex, highly regulated or safety-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and design management principles.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external engineering suppliers.
  • Knowledge of engineering lifecycle management, configuration control and change control processes.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
