On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Recruitment Coordinator (Inside IR35) for a 3 month (possible extension) contract based REMOTELY .
The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. The Cabinet Office is also the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas. As Recruitment Coordinator, you will be the central link between hiring managers and key corporate services functions, driving recruitment activity from vacancy approval through to appointment.
Managing a significant portfolio of live vacancies, you will work closely with Government Recruitment Services (GRS), Cabinet Office HR teams, security and vetting partners, and programme leaders to ensure recruitment processes run smoothly and appointments are made as quickly as possible.

As a Recruitment Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be:
- Act as the primary recruitment liaison between the TL&G programme, Government Recruitment Services (GRS), Cabinet Office HR, and security and vetting teams.
- Drive recruitment campaigns and appointments through complex processes, helping to reduce time-to-hire and maintain programme momentum.
- Support vacancy managers with workforce planning and upcoming recruitment campaigns.
- Coordinate interview schedules, panel logistics, candidate communications and campaign milestones.
- Manage and prioritise a high-volume caseload of 20+ active vacancies simultaneously.
- Monitor recruitment progress, identify risks and bottlenecks early, and take proactive action to resolve issues.
- Escalate critical recruitment or vetting challenges to senior stakeholders when required.
- Provide regular updates and expert guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure activities align with programme delivery objectives.
Essential:
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment pipelines within a complex, large-scale or matrix environment.
- Strong understanding of recruitment coordination and end-to-end hiring processes.
- Experience working closely with HR teams, recruitment providers and other key stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively and maintain momentum across multiple recruitment campaigns.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience.

- Jira – useful
- Highly desirable Recruitment for GRS (department in cabinet office) – someone who knows the back end of the GRS recruitments
