AMS PSR

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice we are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager  (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week in any MOJ UK office.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Senior Delivery Manager role sits within Justice Digital’s delivery profession and is responsible for enabling the effective delivery of complex, high-risk digital services and products.

Senior Delivery Managers provide leadership and support to multiple delivery teams, manage risks and dependencies, and help teams maintain focus and momentum. You will be responsible for building team capability, promoting agile practices, and influencing senior stakeholders to create a culture of continuous improvement.

You’ll also be an active member of Justice Digital’s delivery management community contributing through mentoring, coaching, and sharing expertise.

Essential:

• Demonstratable expeirence of successful project delivery and management.
• Demonstrable expertise in Agile and Lean principles, frameworks and practices.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and lead teams in the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile and Lean ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate complex, high-risk discussions within challenging timescales.
• Proven ability to optimise the flow of work and maintain delivery momentum across teams.
• Experience identifying, managing and resolving complex risks, issues and dependencies.
• Experience analysing, challenging and improving organisational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Experience leading continuous planning activities within complex and fast-changing environments.
