AMS PSR

On behalf of ONS, we are looking for a Digital DevSecOps Lead  (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based Remotely with occasional travel to Newport.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest producer of official statistics, covering a range of key economic, social and demographic topics. These include measuring changes in the value of the UK economy, estimating the size, geographic distribution and characteristics of the population, and providing indicators of price inflation, employment, earnings, crime and migration.

As a Digital DevSecOps Lead, your main responsibilities will be:

• Working within our Dissemination Platform team; assisting in development activities including CI/CD, backing services and infrastructure, observability stack, and Kubernetes Platform
• Troubleshooting and bug-fixing for issues on the new Platform
• Coaching and mentoring team members
• Collaborating with others to design solutions and taking guidance from the Technical Lead
• Producing documentation and knowledge transfer with team members

Essential:

• Highly experienced working within AWS
• Experience supporting and developing on Kubernetes and using Helm
• Experience developing Terraform modules and environmental stacks
• Experience using AWS managed services including OpenSearch, Grafana, Prometheus, Aurora
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) testing
• CI/CD - ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
