About the Role
Great British Energy is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our onshore development department. This role will play a key part in contributing to projects, objectives, and wider organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy for renewable energy projects from pre-FID through construction
- Working with the Project and Investment teams, support investment cases, FID packs, and project approvals with robust commercial input
- Ensure adherence to internal commercial governance, delegation of authority, and assurance requirements
- Lead Commercial sections of the Project Gate reviews
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in commercial management, quantity surveying, or project controls
- Background in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or major capital projects
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Law, similar
Desirable:
- Professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIPS, CIMA, CIArb, CICES)
- Postgraduate qualification in construction law, project management, or commercial management
