Voter Engagement Support Officer

Salary: £29,224 to £30,198 per annum.

Basis: Permanent, Full time 36 hours per week

Package: Outstanding benefits including Civil Service Pension Scheme, flexible working, 28+ days holiday, performance-related pay and more.

A £312 tax-free working from home allowance is also payable annually.

Location: Cardiff, Belfast or Edinburgh (Hybrid – min. 2 days in office) or Remote (UK)

About the role

  • You’ll provide high quality administrative, logistical and project coordination support, helping colleagues deliver activities that reach schools, youth organisations, civil society partners and voters across the UK. You will be key to ensuring that information, resources and engagement activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
  • Deliver core administrative and coordination tasks to support voter education, community engagement and partnership projects.
  • Organise logistics for meetings, events, training sessions, school visits and community activities, ensuring they run smoothly and safely.
  • Maintain accurate project records, schedules, stakeholder lists and shared documents to support effective planning and reporting.
  • Support partnerships across education and civil society by coordinating meetings, events and sharing voter information and educational resources.
  • Handle invoices, raising purchase orders and other routine financial operations supporting the team’s activities.

About the team

You’ll join the Voter Engagement team, which works across education, community outreach and partnerships to help people of all ages gain the knowledge and confidence to participate in democracy.

Working as part of a collaborative matrix team, you’ll support colleagues across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including the Education Engagement Manager, Community Engagement Manager and partners in Communications, Finance and Procurement. You’ll contribute directly to helping trusted networks share accurate, accessible voter information and ensuring engagement projects reach those who need them most.

This role would suit someone organised, proactive and keen to support meaningful public engagement work. You’ll be successful if you enjoy coordinating multiple tasks, supporting colleagues, and maintaining strong and reliable systems.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience providing administrative support in a busy environment.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
  • A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach.
  • Desirable experience includes supporting events or workshops, working with young people or underrepresented groups, or supporting finance or procurement
