AMS PSR

On behalf of the National Crime Agency, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (three days per week office based - London or Manchester).

Job Purpose:

The Online Crime Centre (OCC) is a multi-agency and public private partnership capability targeting crime that takes place online by blending law enforcement and industry capability and tradecraft to stop, block and disrupt online criminal enablers. Initially focused on fraud and volume cybercrime, the OCC will use targeted data and intelligence sharing to prevent online crime at scale.

This activity is transforming how the NCA delivers its mission to cut serious and organised crime. As a Project Manager you will manage specific projects on a day to day basis. Responsible for the driving and overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Define and lead the project to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
• Manage and lead the project and team on a day-to-day basis. Sets project controls, design the project structure suitable for each stage, and select appropriate delivery methodologies.
• Coordinate the development of the business case.
• Work collaboratively with Home office, NPCC and NCA teams to track delivery of the OCC programme within budget.
• Schedule and manage resources to deliver the project using data insights. May work independently or with a small team.
• Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked, and owned. Implement and monitor a benefits realisation strategy to ensure longer-term delivery of benefits against the business case.

Essential:

• Proven track record of managing a small or medium complexity project or working as a member of a large or medium complexity project team or as a specialist or work streams lead for a small, low complexity project.
• Good understanding in project and programme management methodologies (Waterfall and agile), with an emphasis on planning, change, risk and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrate experience of excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including a good understanding of commercial management/practices.
• A relevant project management qualification, for example: Management of Portfolios (MoP) Foundation / Practitioner, APM Project Management Foundation (PFQ) / Qualification (PMQ) or Agile Project Management Practitioner
