On behalf of Digital Health and Care Wales, we are looking for a Digital User Researcher (Inside IR35) for a 4 month contract based Hybrid in Cardiff.
Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.
The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Data Resource. It will improve the way data is collected, shared and used. We will achieve this by working in partnership with all NHS Wales organisations and through our expert and dedicated workforce.
As a Digital User Researcher, your main responsibilities will be:
- Act independently using own initiative within established parameters, self-determining when to refer to manager.
- Understand and demonstrate experience in user research methods, understanding when to use these methods and how to apply them correctly.
- Align user research activities to help your team understand changing user behaviour.
- Provide evidence drawn from data and research analysis to represent the user in product and design discussions
- Manage and lead on own user research activities to ensure business needs and performance targets are met.
- Design and execute a wide range of user research activities using diverse techniques and communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, making decisions on the environment for research.
- Identify and engage with users and stakeholders to collate user needs evidence, empathetically interpreting and responding to potentially highly complex, sensitive or contentious information and requirements.
Essential:
- Public sector background is key
- Strong User Centred design experience
