Description & Requirements

On behalf of UKAEA (UK Atomic Energy Authority) we are looking for a IT Helpdesk Analyst INSIDE IR35 for a 10 months contract based Hybrid Oxford.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance. 


UKAEA run the UK’s national fusion energy research programme, sponsored by the Government’s Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. They are on a mission to deliver safe, sustainable, low-carbon energy from fusion, achieving maximum scientific and economic benefit along the way.


As a IT Helpdesk Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:


Essential:

  • Strong understanding of account management and JML processes
  • Familiarity with a wide range of Enterprise IT systems and SaaS platforms, such as M365 and P6
  • Expert ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to work within structured ITIL processes and meet SLAs
  • Clear, concise and empathetic communication skills 
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Experience with ITIL and COBIT


Desirable

  • Experience with Okta
  • Experience with Ivanti ITSM and Neurons
