Description & Requirements

On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 9 month contract (until December '26) based hybrid in Bristol, London, Manchester or Glasgow. 


Join the Cabinet Office’s high-profile Falcon Programme, a major transformation delivering two core outcomes:

  • Migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, and
  • Implementation of a modern and secure IT platform for users across the Cabinet Office and its wider organisations


You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to help deliver these two outcomes using agile values and practices. This role requires someone with strong delivery capability across large-scale digital or infrastructure programmes. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive delivery, coordinate rollouts and ensure smooth transition across a complex organisational landscape.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and able to operate in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.


As a Digital Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and support the delivery of transformation initiatives using agile and waterfall methodologies, adapting tools and techniques to meet evolving programme needs.
  • Deliver a key workstream as part of a continuous migration rollout
  • Coordinate delivery across internal technical teams, suppliers and multiple business units
  • Plan, track and manage migration schedules and business readiness while translating programme roadmaps into actionable delivery plans, user stories and milestones
  • Produce programme reporting, RAID management and stakeholder updates
  • Support financial forecasting and ensure accurate budget tracking
  • Lead and facilitate meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment while identifying risks, blockers and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with change, communications, technical and support teams to foster collaboration, remove delivery obstacles and enable a smooth rollout


Essential:

  • Experience delivering complex IT infrastructure or enterprise technology projects across the full lifecycle
  • Experience in large-scale migrations or platform transitions
  • Strong delivery management skills with both Agile and Waterfall methods
  • Experienced in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a productive environment, and driving delivery flow.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities
  • Practical understanding of change management
  • Experience coordinating supply chain providers and aligning resources


Desirable:

  • Data migration experience, ideally Google Workspace → Microsoft 365
  • Experience working on government or public sector programmes
  • Knowledge of Jira or M365 tools
