NHS Blood and Transplant
On behalf of NHS BT, we are looking for a Programme Office Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based UK Wide (2-3 days in office at nearest hub).
As a Programme Office Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and develop the Programme Management Office, ensuring strong governance, compliance, methodology adoption and alignment with organisational and CPMO standards.
- Collaborate with the Programme Management Leadership Team to maintain effective programme organisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage and develop the PMO team while overseeing high‑quality delivery of core PMO functions including governance, reporting, RAID, change control, resource and financial management.
- Oversee initiative pipeline management, integrated planning, supplier performance monitoring, and options appraisals to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Maintain robust information management practices, facilitate continuous improvement, and proactively identify and resolve programme issues.
- Build strong cross‑programme relationships, model organisational values, and apply sound analytical judgement to navigate complex issues and support an inclusive, psychologically safe culture.
Essential:
- Strong track record experience in Programme Management Office leadership supporting large and complex transformational programmes (Essential)
- Proven track record in setting up a Programme Management Office from inception, including defining structures, governance, and operating models. (Essential)
- Demonstrable experience in delivering digital transformation and business change initiatives across multi‑disciplinary teams with multiple stakeholders.
- MSP / PRINCE / AGILE
Desirable:
- Experience working within a healthcare setting or other highly regulated environment
