Description & Requirements

On behalf of ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service), we are looking for a Research Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 9 week contract based in London or Newcastle (3 days per week onsite).


As a Research Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Initial engagement with Acas policy and research teams to understand the topic under consultation, the details of the brief, and to establish ways of working
  • throughout the project
  • Thematic analysis of consultation responses, combining responses from different channels including online form and free-text Word /pdf/ email responses.
  • Analysis by certain pre-determined themes, as well as emergent themes as advised by Acas policy team during the period of the project
  • Regular engagement with policy and research teams to provide updates and understand any emergent themes
  • Produce final report summarising the consultation findings


Essential:

  • Experience of evidence synthesis—collating information from a range of sources grouped around pre-determined and ‘emergent’ themes
  • Qualitative analysis skills and knowledge of thematic or framework analysis techniques
  • The ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured reports suitable for senior leaders.
  • Adept at communicating complex analysis in a manner that is easily understandable and actionable.
  • Able to analyse complex information, identify patterns, draw meaningful conclusions, and provide insights to support decision-making.


Desirable

  • Experience using NVivo software
